Holy Orders

“Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”  And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” -John 20: 21-23.

One of the great blessings of life is the journey of self-discovery.

Who am I? & What does God desire for my life? Are the two most important and pressing questions we can ponder.

This is especially true when faced with the challenge of discerning our personal vocation and a commitment to married, consecrated or priestly life.

For those who may be discerning a vocation to Diocesan Priesthood or religious life or may be in search of more information, the Diocesan Vocation Office can provide information and support to assist you in this important process.

Prayer for Vocations

God our Father, You made each of us to use our gifts in the Body of Christ. We ask that You inspire young people whom you call to priesthood and consecrated life to courageously follow Your will.

Send workers into Your great harvest so that the Gospel is preached, the poor are served with love, the suffering are comforted, and Your people are fortified by the sacraments.  We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
