Children from our six parish schools and throughout the parish will be receiving the Eucharist for the first time throughout the month of August. A short rite of commitment to the program will take place for all the children and their families enrolled in the program at St Pius X Church on Sunday the 4th of August at 9am during the Parish Mass.
This will be followed by a morning tea and celebration of the candidates currently preparing to receive their first Eucharist. Parishioners are invited to come along to meet our candidates and to pray for them as they prepare for their special day.
The dates for the celebration of the sacraments at each of the churches are listed below.
NB: Parents must confirm with their school which celebration they will be attending.
If you are not able to attend the allocated date for your school, you may be able to join another on the dates provided, again after consulting your school administration.
For children not at a Parish primary school or who may not currently be part of the program, parents are urged to contact the office as soon as possible to organise adequate preparation and to confirm dates for the sacramental celebration.
